I’ve been following way to many party blogs lately. That can be a bad thing when you have two birthdays on the same day. Anyway, my friend Megan Grover knows how to throw a great party and just happens to be starting a business as an event planner. So we did a trade. I get to photograph her beautiful six month old baby boy for her help with Jennica’s princess party. It ended up looking so elaborate and breathtaking. I can’t believe how creative Megan is. I had no idea what one could do with tissue paper and scrap book paper. If anyone is looking for help planning an event – baby shower, birthday party, engagement party – Megan’s your girl. Just look at some of her creations.
Megan is just creating her web site. If your interested in contacting her just email me and I’ll get her info for you. When her website is up I’ll set up a link.
Megan made all of the tissue balls. They are so gorgeous. I’m going to hang some of them in my kid’s rooms. Megan made enough that she has some for her little girls room as well. So fun.
If you want to see more pictures go to my family blog.

Can you believe how cute this flower arrangement is? Made out of scrap book paper and suckers.
Jennica’s cake was so pretty. It was made by Dippidee.
Megan knew where to get these beauties for a great price. Walmart’s bakery in Cedar Hills. Who knew? Megan said just take them a picture of whatever you want them to look like and they will do it.

I get to take credit for the cake pops. I got the inspiration for these little guys off of Bakerella. They weren’t hard to make but they were time consuming. All you do is bake a cake and let it cool. Then you crumble your cake into a bowl and put in a container of cream cheese frosting. Then you shape them into balls and cool them in your freezer for 1/2 hour. Melt your chocolate (I used white chips and added a drop of red food coloring). Dip your cake balls into the chocolate until completely covered.
Megan made these cute little cupcake banners. She made them from scrap paper using her cricket. I’m not a scrapbooker but now I want a cricket. Too bad their $300.00.

I bought pillow cases at IKEA for pretty cheap and put them on the back of my kitchen table chairs. It made it look pretty fancy. Megan thought up the little flower on the back. Looked like a real princess tea party.
The party favors came from Party Express. Megan wrapped them and put a bow around it.
I finally got to use my tea set I bought in England 12 years ago. I had to polish it first. I can’t believe how tarnished silver gets over time. I’m glad I finally had a reason to use it. Well, we didn’t really use it. It looked cute though.
We made flower shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I got this idea from One Charming Party.

Megan made the banner out of scrap book paper again. I love it.
Just to show that we did have some healthy foods at the party. I think the adults ate them though.

We used the cute little tea set from IKEA. I think a set is $10.00. I love this tea set because you can just throw them in the dishwasher to clean.
I also want to thank my sister Cori, who helped me take these pictures. Some I took and some she took. We were sharing camera’s and memory cards so I can’t say who took which picture. But, I’m sure she took at least half of these.
